A Golden Wedding Anniversary
Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of going back to Antonio’s restaurant in Tagaytay, three months after my wedding reception. This time, I was there to help my childhood friend, Mellissa, on the special occasion of her parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. What a special occasion indeed! After all, how many couples get to celebrate their 50th anniversary? I was tasked to help organize the party and coordinating with Antonio’s and her florist (Flowers and Foliage) for the church and the reception. There was a simple mass held at the St. Scholastica’s Retreat House with the immediate family in attendance, and cocktails and dinner followed at Antonio’s. There wasn’t going to be any speeches or any special programs and I was required to keep it simple but that food needed to be superb! But of course, you can’t go wrong with Antonio’s, and their manager, Johna, always made sure that their service is tops. Overflowing food, sparkling Sangria and Pinot Noir kept everyone happy!
For the party favors, I packaged our Chocolate Almond Buttercrunch and sealed them in a golden wrapper. It was placed in a daintily packaged paper filigree box (available at Amazon). Though the Felchin macaraibo chocolate with roasted pistachio dessert was divine, the guests did still managed to munch on the almond buttercrunch and most didn’t get to bring back the favors all the way back to Manila.
If you want to sample our chocolate almond buttercrunch, it comes in a minimum of 150grams packs. However, if you are giving it away as a party favor, I can customize the weight based on your budget. It’s certainly a nice ,”uncommon” souvenir. And if you’re like me who’s nutty over all kinds of nuts, this one is certainly not lacking. You can choose between milk or dark Belgian chocolate to go with your almonds and toffee.
